Persicaria tinctoria, is more commonly known as Japanese Indigo. It is one of the most ancient dyes producing brilliant colors ranging from sea glass green to deep midnight blue. In the Midwest it grows as an annual yielding two harvests.
To Grow
Start indoors 3-8 weeks before last frost. Germination can be slow, thus seeds will benefit from a gentle soaking in water before planting. Sow 1/2 inch deep. Pant 12” apart.
Each packet contains 50+ seeds.
Sourcing
These seeds were sourced from my own garden. They are non-gmo and were harvested from organically grown plants fertilized with compost from my herd of Angora rabbits.
