Ryafår or Rya is a conservation breed native to Sweden. Rya is a Swedish word,  derived from the ancient Scandanavian word "ry" or "ru," meaning rough and shaggy.

Rya wool is dual-coated and used for making traditional Rya rugs, whose history dates back to the Middle Ages.

Each unit equals a one ounce batt.
