Swaledales are a hard breed found in the rustic fells of England. Their wool is surprisingly soft while retaining primitive characteristics, such as the black and white kemp. This roving is incredibly versatile and can be spun thick or thin making a beautifully textured yarn. It makes great mittens, rugs, tapestries, and woven tweed fabric.
